A lot of coaches teach their players to watch the eyes of the players they are guarding. The reason they teach this is because many offensive players give away what direction they want to go with the ball or who they want to pass to by constantly looking in that direction. Follow the eyes and force the offensive player in the opposite direction they want to go.
