"Making the Right Choices...After all is said and done, the IntelliGym™ trains players in making the right choices. The guys that really bought in -- it helped. Some guys didn't buy in, and these are the same guys that make bad decisions. It's that simple."
John Calipari, University of Memphis, Head Coach |
Think Faster. Play Better.
- Increase your chances of making the varsity basketball team as superior shot selection and execution become "second nature".
- Dazzle recruiters with "spider sense" court-vision, movement anticipation, hair-trigger reaction time, and cool decisions during money-time – training as little as 30 minutes a week!
News
- "Although this looks and feels like a video game, this 'brain gym' is really a workout for your mind... This system will help train you to do the same on the court. The NCAA Champion Florida Gators used it; If it's good enough for them, it's good enough for you..." --SLAM Magazine, May '07
- "Assess the situation, decide who is friend or foe, anticipate movements--are these the skills of a fighter pilot or a basketball player? The answer is actually both...
This unique training program looks and feels like a video game, making the player's basketball decisions faster and smarter. The program adjusts the training level to their personal needs and makes them a better basketball player. It is the only training tool that actually increases players' game intelligence." --NJ TechNews
April 2007

NCAA
2005 - The Basketball IntelliGym was first introduced to NCAA D-1 teams as a test bed and was adopted by Memphis and Florida.
Hubie Brown: "In the game of basketball it is not about who runs faster or jumps higher, but about who makes better decisions and fewer mistakes. This is the first time I see a training tool that can actually improve game intelligence skills of basketball players. The Basketball IntelliGym is revolutionary. "
John Calipari, on ESPN: "After all is said and done, the IntelliGym trains players in making the right choices. The guys that really bought in, it helped. Some guys didn't buy in, and these are the same guys that make bad decisions. It's that simple"
Jim Calhoun: "The Basketball IntelliGym is revolutionary and any coach that will look at it will recognize immediately what it can do for his players...I wouldn't be surprised if five years from now every college and pro team in the U.S. will have the IntelliGym Trainer as an integral component of its training system.
In a championship game, all other factors being equal, the coach that used the IntelliGym system will most likely be the one cutting off the nets. "
2007 - 20 NCAA teams used the product including Florida, Georgia, Missouri, Memphis, Kentucky, Oregon, Kansas, Nebraska, Berkeley, Long Beach and Iowa.
2006, 2007 - Florida took two consecutive championship titles.
2008 - the two NCAA finalists are Kansas and Memphis, IntelliGym users.
High school
2006 - the Basketball IntelliGym was introduced slowly to a few high schools. The results were even more staggering than with NCAA for clea reasons (players are more open to new technologies and coaches have more control over them).
Fist high school to test it:
Head Coach Craig Madzinski (later moved to coach NCAA), Providence Catholic High School: "We are having the best season this school has had in about ten years... They have all been improving... The IntelliGym provided us with the most successful season in our schools history "
2007 - a test with four teams in Indiana was done. Only two players on each team were using the Basketball IntelliGym. They were chosen by the coaches as ones who will put the effort in the training, and may help the team if the improve. However, they were not the leading players before the test started. Four schools had their record year, and so did the players on the program. See: http://www.reuters.com/article/pressRelease/idUS102643+01-May-2008+PRN20080501 for specific quotes and numbers on teams and players.
John Hamilton, Head Coach, Indy Tech, Indiana: "Our player completed 8 training sessions at the beginning of the season and his play early on was outstanding. His reactions were quicker and he had some of his best games early in the season including a pair of 25 point outings. It clearly helped his court awareness and decision-making and helped our team come together quicker than I had expected."
Mark Galloway, Head Coach, Carmel High School, Indiana: "We benefited right away from this product. Our point guard trained diligently, and as promised we saw great strides from his play. He broke our single season and game assist records, earned 1st Team All-State and Metro North Player of the Year honors and a scholarship to play at Boston University."
Youth athletes
2006 and on the Basketball IntelliGym was introduced to its main market - the youth athletes. It is by far the most significant one element for the individual who whishes to take his game to the next level - Game Intelligence. Results with youth athletes, as expected, based on tens of thousands of training hours, were improvement on the court of around 30%!
We feel completely comfortable to make the promise:
After 10 hours with the Basketball IntelliGym, you will improve your on court statistics by 20%-40%. Guaranteed, or your money back.
(we back this policy for three years now, with marginal return rate, mainly for computer related technical problems).
We have tens of quotes from players and their parents on practically every aspect of the product. The significance of the change, how fast it works, how simple it is to work, level of service, etc. Just let us know which you need to cover and we'll choose a few.
Rugby
The Basketball IntelliGym was found so effective among coaches that some cannot wait for the version for their own sports. US National Rugby team head coach, Al Caravelli tested the Basketball IntelliGym on two of his players.
"If you think about it, basketball is probably the sport that is closest to 7s," Caravelli said on the eRugbyNews. "Everybody trains the same way right now. I wanted to find something that would help our guys make better decisions in a short amount of time. I think we have great athletes, but our decision-making under stress can break down."
Following this trial, US 7s (the Olympic version of Rugby) made it to the world cup semi finals for the first time in many years.
Ice Hockey
USAH chose ACE (Applied Cognitive Engineering, the company behind the Basketball IntelliGym) as its partner to develop the Hockey IntelliGym - a product for improving one's hockey sense. As a strategic program of USAH, they chose their young national teams to take part in the development, making the product available for the junior and Olympic teams. See http://www.usahockeymagazine.com/story.php?left_nav=0901&article=gretzky-intelligym-0901&right_nav=normal for the complete article from USAH magazine, by Ken Martel, Youth Hockey Department manager at USAH.
