Boeheim outlines the alignment and adjustments for his successful 2-3 match-up zone defense. The 2-3 match-up zone defense is perfect for changing the tempo of a game and for creating turnovers. Boeheim teaches how there is a great correlation between effective transition offense and great team defense. Coach Boeheim teaches a fastbreak offense designed to get quick scoring opportunities and flow quickly into a half-court offensive set. Boeheim begins by teaching his secondary break, diagramming several back screens, flares, screen stagger screens, and flex cut options against a man or zone defense.
