Kelvin Sampson Needs to be Fired!

Just in case you haven’t been keeping up with college basketball, Kelvin Sampson and Indiana have been hit with 5 major violations and will find out the fate of those violations sometime in June.

Believe it or not, I don’t fault Sampson for this because he is what he is.  I fault Indiana for hiring a cheater in the first place.  We now know why Sampson is recognized as a great recruiter, he’s cheating.  This bothers me so bad it isn’t even funny.  I’ve put up with defenders of this guy for months now and it isn’t the first time for him.  I’m not perfect at all, none of us are but this type of behavior is ridiculous coming from a guy who was supposed to be on his best behavior.

Indiana has been spotless since 1960 and this won’t sit well with them.  Sampson was brought in to replace a legend in Bobby Knight as was promising to run a clean program.  In turn, he’s going to be fired by season’s end or at season’s end because of his consistent lying and cheating.  I have to call it like it is at this point.

Bruce Weber, at Illinois, has been hammered for his supposed recruiting misgivings but nobody questions whether he does things the right way or not.  I’ve been told numerous times to let it go about Eric Gordon going to Indiana but it’s hard to overlook when one coach is playing by the rules and one isn’t.  There is no proof saying these over abundance of calls went to Gordon but he’s one of the best recruits in the past 5 years so I’d assume that some calls were made to him that shouldn’t have been.

I won’t listen to another person try to tell me different about Kelvin Sampson because he is what is…a cheater and it is about time that he got fired from Indiana and moved on to Division 3 basketball in Alaska.
