An EA SPORTS NBA LIVE 08 videogame simulation of the entire 2007-08 NBA season predicted that the Phoenix Suns will come away winners of the 2008 NBA Finals.  Apparently they will beat the Boston Celtics.

In the NBA LIVE 08 simulation, Suns’ guard Steve Nash led the team to their first NBA championship, and was The Finals MVP. Nash took advantage of a weaker Boston backcourt to earn the MVP award.

The Celtics are a sleeper team this year because they’ve added some serious firepower in Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen.  Expect Garnett to put up some incredible numbers again and for Allen and Pierce to get some consistent good looks from the outside.  I personally don’t think they’ll make it that far, but I’m no supercomputer or program.

Some of the awards went to: 

• Miami Heat’s Dwyane Wade-MVP and NBA scoring title with 31.6 ppg
• Chicago Bulls’ Ben Wallace-Defensive Player of the Year award.
• Seattle Supersonics’ Kevin Durant-Rookie of the Year award.
• Minnesota Timberwolves’ Randy Foye-Most Improved Player.
